Graduate REALTOR® Institute

The GRI, Graduate REALTOR® Institute, designation is the most recognized and respected professional designation available to real estate professionals nationwide. REALTORS® who have earned the GRI designation receive in-depth training in legal and regulatory issues, technology, professional standards, and sales process.

Why Earn a GRI Designation

NAR statistics show that REALTORS® with a GRI designation earn more than $22,000 annually than those without a designation and report an increase in referrals in the first year after obtaining their designation. Along with an increased level of skill and professionalism, GRI designees build strong connections with their classmates that turn into rewarding business and personal connections.

How to Earn a GRI Designation

An update of Indiana’s GRI program is underway that better reflects the needs of students as well as the current competitive real estate market. The new curriculum launching in 2012 will allow students to attend online classes, hear more national speakers and complete the designation quicker and with greater flexibility if desired.

Current GRI students have many options available to continue on with the program and complete the 30 hours of courses required to complete GRI 301. Current GRI 301 and 201 students can earn up to 22 hours of 301-level GRI credit for classes offered at the 2011 Indiana Association of REALTORS® (IAR) fall conference on September 20-22. The remaining eight credit hours can be earned at IAR’s Fall Education Fest in October.
