Are you a licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker?
If yes, you must complete 12 hours of continuing education (CE) each year. A year in CE terms = July 1-June 30. The exceptions are for Brokers newly licensed since July 1, 2014 and Managing Brokers.
Brokers
Do you have 12 CE hours under your belt? Since July 1, 2016?
If yes:
Save your certificate(s) somewhere safe. Give copies to your Managing Broker. You do not need to give copies to the Indiana Real Estate Commission or Professional Licensing Agency until you renew your license. The current 3-year license renewal cycle is July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2017.
If no:
May we recommend? The IAR-owned Real Estate Certification Program, or RECP, is a state-approved real estate education provider. RECP offers Broker CE live—in locations around the state—and online/OnDemand. Take it on an instructor’s schedule or your schedule, it’s your choice!
Newly Licensed Brokers Since July 1, 2014
If yes:
You must complete a state-approved 30-hour post-licensing course within 2 years of your license issue date. This course is required and satisfies your initial CE requirement during the first 2 years of licensure.

Managing Brokers
The following applies to you even if you are by yourself or have functioned as a Managing Broker for any time—no matter the length—during the CE year (July 1-June 30). You must complete 12 hours of CE each year. Four (4) of those hours must be state-approved Managing Broker CE.
May we recommend? RECP includes 4 hours of Managing Broker CE in their 12-hour Live and online/OnDemand Broker CE packages.
You can also take these 4 hours as a standalone, OnDemand course.
